Furaha ("we", "us", "our") provides management software for small and medium-sized businesses in Tanzania. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using Furaha you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details such as your name, business name, email and phone number.
- Business data you enter — products, customers, sales, expenses, branches and reports.
- Payment information processed by our payment partners (we do not store full card details).
- Support communications you send us by email, WhatsApp or phone.
Information collected automatically
- Device information (model, operating system, app version).
- Log data including IP address, time of access and actions taken in the app.
- Cookies and similar technologies on our website.
2. How we use information
- To provide, operate and improve Furaha.
- To sync your data across branches and devices.
- To process subscription payments (Tsh 10,000 per branch per month, or Tsh 108,000 per branch per year) and manage your free trial.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To detect, prevent and respond to fraud or abuse.
- To comply with our legal obligations under Tanzanian law.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your data. We share limited information only with:
- Service providers who help us run Furaha (hosting, analytics, payments).
- Authorities when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
4. Data retention
We keep your business data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your data for 90 days so you can re-activate or export it, after which it is permanently deleted from our active systems.
5. Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside Furaha is controlled by role-based permissions you configure for your team. We back up your data daily.
6. Your rights
- Access, correct or export your data from within the app.
- Request deletion of your account by contacting support.
- Withdraw consent to non-essential processing at any time.
7. Children
Furaha is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 18.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or inside the app at least 14 days before they take effect.
